Rescue Zone

The Rescue Zone has become one of the most beloved parts of DogFest. Kids and adults alike can interact with dozens of canine companions courtesy of our dog rescue partners. You can even arrange an adoption right there at the event! Last year’s Rescue Zone featured the following fantastic partners:

Muttville Senior Dog Rescue

Muttville’s mission is to change the way the world thinks about and treats older dogs and to create better lives for them through rescue, foster, adoption, hospice, education, and advocacy.

Family Dog Rescue

Family Dog Rescue believes that Dog + Human = Family and that a dog makes a house a home. Since 2010, they have rescued over 3000 dogs and matched them with loving humans.

San Francisco Animal Care & Control

The San Francisco Department of Animal Care & Control is a municipal, tax-payer funded, open admissions animal shelter. Our mission is to adopt, rehome and reunite domestic animals with their guardians and to release wildlife to their native habitat. We provide care for abandoned, injured, sick, lost and stray domestic animals and exotic and wild animals. We also respond to animal-related emergencies including animal abuse and neglect as well as matters of animal welfare and public safety.
